About Me

Identities

I am an Associate Marriage & Family Therapist dedicated to helping adolescents, adults, and relationships find more alignment in their lives. As a therapist, I tend to see clients who have been made to feel "different," whether they're artists, chronically ill, helping professionals, kinky, nerdy, neurodivergent, non-monogamous, queer, and more.

Other fun facts about me are that I am dynamically and usually invisibly disabled, gender/queer (she & they pronouns are great!), hypermobile, middle class, millennial & gen z, and white. Outside of therapy, I enjoy things like reading, building Legos, eating pasta, creating & listening to music, being outside, and hanging out with my people and cats.

Treatment Philosophy

Trained in systemic therapy, I see not only you but also the relationships, communities, and societal narratives and systems that impact you. I aim to provide care that is accessible, culturally sensitive, non-monogamy-affirming, identity-affirming, kink-affirming, responsive to client feedback, sex-positive, and trauma-informed. I work with clients throughout therapy to create a safe space that will continue to support you as your journey moves forward. I'll collaborate with you to identify your strengths and create goals and interventions that are uniquely accessible and relevant to you.

You can expect therapy with me to move pleasantly slowly, respecting the pace of our bodies and nervous systems despite the often-frantic pace of everyday life. I believe healing at the pace of and with the consent of our bodies can bring us all closer to collective liberation.

Treatment Methods

Methods I commonly use in therapy are Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Somatic Transformation. Other theories I may use depending on the client are Bowen Family Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Gottman Therapy. We can also use art, board games, books, and yoga and mindfulness techniques in therapy. All of the therapy I provide is informed by Viktor Frankl's Logotherapy (existential therapy), which states that our lives are meaningful, and distress is decreased when we find alignment with our purpose(s).

My Chronic Illness Experience

Like many chronic illness stories, mine is long and non-linear.

I've felt properly sick for about ten years. Looking back, there were signs that something wasn't quite right from a much younger age, including some times in elementary school when I remember dislocating my fingers, much to my own amusement, and times when I remember feeling nerve pain without knowing how to describe it.

After many years of searching and going through all the ups and downs of interacting with the medical system, I was diagnosed with hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (hEDS) and some of its common comorbidities. Since then, my story has been one of learning to build a relationship with my body and growing a life that is accessible and supportive to it.

If you're also in the hEDS/HSD community, you may have noticed that the diagnostic guidelines will likely change significantly in December 2026. I'm happy to talk about this in therapy to understand how this affects you and how you can best be supported through this time of uncertainty.
